The LifeNets Developing Nations Scholarship Fund has provided over $240,000 in scholarship money for students in developing countries around the world. For 2009, the amount budgeted by LifeNets for these scholarships was $55,000. In the United States, that might only pay for two or three students; but in the areas that LifeNets works, it can pay for about thirty-five students. This enables many young people to benefit from access to higher education and carries out the LifeNets philosophy that the best aid to give is help that allows others to learn to help themselves.
